College essays?
can i recycle paragraphs or even whole essays, and use them for different colleges?
if the topic is the same.
will i get in trouble? will the colleges ever know?

Yes. As long as you wrote the essay, you can send it to as many colleges as you want (assuming that it meets their requirements for topic and page length).
If the topics assigned for the essay are similar but not exactly the same, it is perfectly fine for you to reuse a few paragraphs when writing the same essay.
Assuming that it is all your work. The only thing that you can get in trouble for, is if you use someone ELSE's essay, or a few paragraphs of it, as your essay.
Sometimes college admissions officers talk to each other, so they might know if you used one essay at two schools. But they know that many students do this, and it's fine. BUT, if two college admissions officers talk and find out that two DIFFERENT students submitted the same essay to two different schools, you can bet that both students will be rejected, or if they have already been admitted--they will be expelled or otherwise disciplined.
No you can't. For 2 reasons: 1) you will not have had the same experiences to her so what she has written is irrelevant to your life 2) colleges check for plagiarism. If you are caught copying someone else's work they will reject your application immediately. It's not uncommon for people to be caught like this so it's not worth taking the risk. Certainly use her essay for ideas and a good guide to follow but it should not be exactly the same. If you are having difficulty maybe you could ask her to give you some tips.
No, you can use the same essay as many times as you wish. Just make sure if you mention the colleges' name to change it in your next essay so you dont look like a fool
I did that for some of my college essays if they asked the same question. There aren't going to look into it, there are too many applications they have to deal with.
It's not cheating and it definitely allows you to spend less time on your college applications.
Good luck!
it's not a problem at all to reuse essays, i seriously doubt they would care, as long as you wrote them yourself. schools don't actually expect you to write a completely different response to the same question 10 times. just be careful if the essay is meant to be about why you're applying to that SPECIFIC school- i had a friend accidentally leave the name of a different school in the essay she sent to one of her colleges.
no, i sent the same essay to like 5 collages. just make sure you switch everything for the appropriate school or topic.
colleges do not compare your essays , so if the topics are the same use the same essay.
You sure can. If the essays are written by you, you own them and you can reproduce them as often as you please and in whatever form you see fit.
Good luck!
Yup,
Nope,
Most likely nope, and they know most people do this anyway. I did for sure.
As long as it is yours there should be no problem.
