Who do I report a company to?

To which UK agency should I report a company who do not adhere to employment laws? (i.e breaks, working hours, holiday allowance, employing people 'cash in hand')?

  • If you are an employee of the company who do not appear to be following employment laws, then the first step would be to arrange a meeting with a union rep, if the company has a union.

    Following that, or if no union is present, then as an employee, you can take your issues to ACAS.

    If you are not an employee of this company, then there is not many authorities who will act on your behalf, as I have found out recently from personal experience.
