Paramedics please...?
Im in paramedic school and just have a random thought. Say you have a patient with ST ELEVATION but no other signs or symptoms. Patient is perfectly comfortable and painfree. Say she called the ambulance for diarrhea or soemthing like that. Do you treat like any other stemi? Patient is elderly...what would you do? Just curious and trying to learn. Out of school for break....thanks.

If the patient is asymptomatic and there are no other indications of a cardiovascular issue I would start considering STEMI mimics ... Remember, not all ST changes are an MI and not all MIs have ST changes.
