architecture portfolio?
I am making my portfolio to apply for masters degree. I was wondering if I have to show all the signs on architectural drawings (measurements, axis, heights, function numbers, etc) or can I show it like in architectural books, without anything? any suggestions?

I am also applying to the masters of architecture degree this semester and currently am working on my portfolio. I think it really depends on which school you are applying for..( more technical or design based). I think that a basic description of your project and then showing it more like a book, design wise, would be best. At least that is the method I am doing! Hope this helps!

I think it depends. I live in good ol boy country. I worked contract for old fart contractors until the construction boom ended, through word of mouth hustling mostly. Placement firms seem to only want people with "corporate experience", even if you match all the qualifications and have 10+ years experience. No one's ever asked for my portfolio, so I've forced them to look at it a couple of times. In my part of the world, there doesn't seem to be much interest in what you can bring to the company when you're looking for work.
