Good natural disaster movies?
I'm looking for a good movie or two about natural disasters (non-fiction and fiction). It's for a school project, so the movie should be something I can easily work with (analyze, perspective, message etc.) Any suggestions? :-)

A good non-fiction natural disaster movie would be "A Perfect Storm". Most fictional disaster movies suck, but "2012" didn't suck as bad as I thought it would. The special effects were pretty awesome.

W. from 2008. I have never seen one disaster such as this change the world so irrevocably. A good fictional Natural disaster movie for me would be Dawn Of the Dead from 1978, it's jam packed full of social commentary, media satire and is just plain good, well made fun!
A good movie to check out is "Knowing" starring Nicolas Cage. Some of the story is very untrue but the main part of the story is something that can really happen (A huge sun flare destroys the earth).
Volcano starring Tommy Lee Jones
The Day After Tomorrow is a good one.
