Is Marijuana addictive? Do I have a problem?
I tried marijuana when I was about 14 years old and I would only do it a few times a year, if that. However, once I turned 18, I started to do it more frequently. It first started out to be a few times a month, then a week, and now a day. I feel that I have a problem because every time I say that I will not do it for a couple of days, I still end up doing it. I have spent so much money on it and I start to notice that I can't make it past 3 days without wanting to smoke.
I want to go back to the time when I just did it sporadically for the fun of it, instead of making it a habit. I know for a fact that it damages cognitive brain functions and severely impairs memory in the long run. I don't need any of that. I want to be able to watch something funny on television or eat something good without wanting to smoke to enhance the feeling. I want to be able to enjoy sobriety. Is it possible for me to successfully get away from it? I feel that this drug is very much addictive, especially to those who have addictive personalities.

Marijuana is indeed addictive. It's not addictive in the same way that heroin is, but it is extrememly addictive psychologically. That higher has now become your standard and it's not easy to go back to normal from that. You have a serious problem. A friend of mine in your situation had to go to rehab to get off it.
Its addictive through habit only there isn't anything specific in it that can get you instantly hooked
its mainly addictive for it's enhancing abilities of making everything awsome.
but if you want to quite then you need to delete any contact with your dealer and dumb all remaining supply and seek some help from a non druggy friend who will restrain you if needed.
Maybe therapy needed for you as most people do have control over these things but these are optional you have free will.
Its a proven fact that Marijuana is not addictive
