They are both close to each other, relatively speaking, but Arabia seems so much drier.. How come?

They are not close to each other - a few thousand kilometers makes a big difference in climate.
Arabia is blessed with crude, India with trees, grass and wild animals
India gets monsoons but Arabia does not.
