what exactly does a Navy AO (aircrew) do?
Once i'm in A school can i volunteer to join AO Aircrew? I kinda get that i'll be dealing with planes or helicopters...but does that mean i'll be flying on board with crew in a helicopter. Or just loading them? Please explain the diff between a regular AO and AO (aircrew) if there is one?

Well, I know that they do exist; but I have never met an AO (Aircrewman) in my 10 yrs. But this site should help a bit: http://usmilitary.about.com/library/milinfo/navyjo...
AO only works on the Flight Deck, they do not fly. And I think AO (Aircrew) works on the deck and also flies with the aircraft to perform whatever functions on the aircrafts
I have a close friend in the navy, and after being disqualified from SWCC (Special Warfare)he chose to do aircrew, hes in japan right now and works on F-18s. He sometimes has to do stuff on the runways (he isn't on a ship) he gets to wave those orange light sticks at the planes.
