How do you safely use a car power inverter?

I'm going on a trip and i'm going to use a jensen power inverter does anybody know how to safely plug it in?

If you are using a power outlet then all you have to ensure is that the wattage is below the rating of the outlet. The device also has to be below the rating of the inverter. If your using the battery then you have to ensure the wiring heavy enough for the wattage rating.
