I am a recent graduate from PCP school in Canada. Looking to see if there are employment opportunities that any of you may know of? What are the benefits, if any? Rate of pay, etc...any information helps.
There was a company looking for resumes to work on-base EMS in Afghanistan that was willing to look at Canadian PCPs, but I'm not sure you really want to go down that road. Most international gigs are looking for RNs or ACP/EMT-P level practitioners with street experience. If you're looking for your first gig, look into the oil patch. Not a lot in the way of patient contacts and it can be very boring, but the pay is decent. Also, if you're interested, BC Ambulance is desperate to hire PCPs. There are stations taking street hires that it used to take 2-3 years of seniority to get into. The amount of time you have to spend working rural/remote in BC is far less than it used to be.
