is apocolocynposis a real word?
there are a lot of jocular words such as hippopotamonstrosesquipedaliphobia which isn't a real word which irks me.
the true longest word that is not chemical, medical nor made up is floccinaucinihilipilification
if apocolocynposis is real, why isn't it a phobia?

It is a real word meaning the fear of turning into a pumpkin (!!!!!) which is surprising in itself. Why it's not CALLED blahblah phobia, I do not know. I hope that SOMEONE will know!)
The hippopotamonstrosesquipedaliphobia is indeed fake although it's said to mean fear of long words... like you say, it irks me too. There should be a real word for that ;-) (just a quick point though... if enough people accept it and define it, what's to say that the word has not become real??)
Incidentally the fear of pumpkins (and also cucumbers and other members of the same family is called cucurbitphobia.

Example, If I was Cinderella and riding in a carriage made out of a pumpkin, I would have a phobia of apocolocynposis.
