what is the ballanced equation
__NaOH(aq) +__Al(NO3)3(aq) ---> ___Al(OH)3(s) +___NaNO3(aq)
3 NaOH(aq) + Al(NO3)3(aq) ---> Al(OH)3(s) + 3 NaNO3(aq)
My guess is:
3 NaOH + Al(NO3)3 --> Al(OH)3 + 3 NaNO3
Try balancing by groups first instead of specific elements (for example, OH altogether rather than Os & Hs separately).
I hope this is right and helpful for you.
3NaOH + Al(NO3)3 --> Al(OH)3 + 3NaNO3
Aluminum is the clue. It has three groups, so three molecules of NaOH will be needed. These go on to form 3 molecules of product.
3NaOH(aq) + Al(NO3)3(aq) ---> Al(OH)3(s) + 3NaNO3(aq
