What is a decent priced good quality video camera?

I'm looking into a video camera for Youtube use, but I want something that is quality enough to keep for a while...I don't just want to use it for Youtube but that is the main purpose. Also, I don't need something too exppensive so I'd like a range of $300 - $450 if possible. I do like Sanyo's Xacti line but I don't know enough to pick which one would be best for the price so if you know anything about cameras I'd like to know which Sanyo Xacti is the best "bang for it's buck" if you will.
