Please help!!! Algebra 1 problem?

Please show work!

5 - (n - 4) = 3( n + 2 )

Comments

  • 5-(n-4)=3(n+2)

    3n + 6=5-n+4

    3n+ 2= 5-n

    3n= 3-n

    4n=3

    n=3/4

  • You have to put all the letters on one side and all the numbers on the other side of the equal sign by substracting and adding the composants of the equality on both sides.

    Here's how it's done: This solution of an algebra problem is the value of the variable.

    5-(n-4)=3(n+2)

    =5-n-4=3n+6

    =5-n-4+n=3n+6+n

    =5-4=4n+6

    =1=4n+6

    =1-6=4n+6-6

    =-5=4n

    =n=-5/4n

    n=1.25
