Who do I contact if my insurance company wouldn't fix my car correctly?
I was in an auto accident in July, my car had over $6,000 damage on the passenger side. I got my car back with two different color headlights (one chrome, one black). My insurance company and the body shop (in MD) keep blaming one another, I can't get anyone to take responsibility for the mismatched headlights. I need to find someone I can contact to file a complaint since no one will listen to me!

Tell the body shop that they need to make good on the headlights.
Call the better business bureau.
Contact the inurance commission for your state.
Call the head office of the insurance company you have your policy with.
Switch agents as the customer service doesn't seem very good with your current one.
you should not have paid the body shop for poor work. The problem is with the shop not the insurance company. Complain to the better business bureau about their poor work. No insurance company will tell a repair shop to use mismatched headlights.
Try the Better Business Bureau, and file a complaint against the body shop, seems the insurance company is not at fault here.
Who chose the body shop? Ultimately, even if the insurance recommended them, you did. All the insurance did is pay the bill. So it's the shop to blame. So, find out which agency in MD licenses body shops, and make a complaint there.
Contact both again. Kindly let the auto shop know that if you cannot get resolution you will be contacting the better business bureau and kindly let your insurance company know that if you cannot get suitable resolution you will be contacting your State Insurance Commissioner to file an investigative complaint. The last thing that they want is the Insurance Commission investigating their claims practices. You can find both Bureaus in the gov't section of your phone book.
How would this be insurances fault? I cant even imagine what the body shop would say here to make you feel they (insuarnce) were at fault. Afterall, you picked your body shop..l not them.. its not their fault they do crappy work.
What body shop would put on two different headlamps? If insurance paid for the wrong color.. its the body shop job to inform them so they can correct it.
Id call BBB regarding the body shop but dont expect a miracle here.
Go buy another headlight. Ask the repair shop to take the one out they have and return it for the correct one. It shouldn't cost them anything.
Contact the Bureau of Automobile Repair. The B.A.R. in your city will find out who the responsible party is and get it fixed in record time.
CALL YOUR STATES BOARD OF INSURANCE AND YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY WILL HAVE TO RESPOND.
PREPARE YOURSELF AND HAVE ALL NECESSARY PAPERWORK READY TO SUPPORT YOUR CASE.
