you should be able to upgrade to six no more because of the mainboard compatibility. You could also go with a tri core believe it or not on a system with reduced power a tri core can out perform a x4.
And as alway when looking for that certain processor make sure it is compatible by finding out how many pins are on the bottom of that four core of yours and how much voltage it take if a six core takes more voltage it will perform but only to a extent. And with laptop's upgrading the power supply adapter to a higher voltage is not going to work because of built in voltage regulators. Those will only allow so much power on the mainboard. So make sure the six core is not a higher wattage as not to exceed a 15watt to 20watt range.
