How does the Latino Diaspora affect you?
thats the topic of my term paper. and i have no clue where to go with it except maybe that i listen to bachata (music from Dominican Repub) and that i can dance salsa. but really i dont think that is juicy enough for a paper you know? so can anyone answer this question, for them selfs maybe? im pretty plain. anglo, live in the suburbs and am close to san francisco. there are lots of latinos here, but i dont really seeing it affecting me.

You say that you listen to latin music & can dance salsa. Just think of all the Italian restaurants there are in this country. Think of all the British rock we listen to here in The States. Latino pop & food will probably be as popular as European music & food is in the future.
hmmm i live in the same area lol....
well, i'm part of the Latino Dispora...My Dad's parent's emmigrated here from Central America...I think it affects me in a good way, because i get jobs easily for being bilingual and approachable. Most places are looking for a diverse workforce, esp in our area.I suppose for non spanish speakers, it be tougher getting an entrly level job competing with us!
