COBRA insurance help?

After your fired in how many days you should receive COBRA paperwork? Also when your fired is your insurance gone that day or at end of the month. I got bi-weekly check from them.

I was fired in April but didnt receive paperwork from cobra until mid june i dont think that right or am i wrong

    The employer must notify the plan administrator within 30 days. The plan administrator must notify you within 14 days. You have 60 days after you receive the notice to decide to accept it or not. If you accept you have 45 days to make the payment. You'll be required to pay the premium back to the day you were terminated off of the plan. After you make payment any medical charges you incurred before you paid will be covered according to the terms of the policy.
