Can my Jvc Hd camcorder capture pictures/video directly onto my computer (e.g. animator Dv)?

I've got a Jvc everio and i want to make stop motion films, to do this I need to hook it up to capturing software (i use Animator Dv). When I connect via usb, options (like upload) come up, but i cant stream onto computer. I've heard you can do this with software that makes a video camera function as a webcam, but don't know how????. Please help, I'm so lost.
