Am i Emo/ a Cutter? oAo?

I've been pretty deprssed lately, because im in a long disntance relationship.... and i cant see him for two years. I've felt sick to my stomach because he might start dating a different girl... well, nyways, i always wondered what it would be like to cut my self purposely, so i grabbed a pair of scissors and started pressng them to my arm and slowly moving its down, well, i kept doing it, now i have 6 Raised cuts, and 5 cuts that actually broke skin, am i a cutter?

Update:

I've tried talking to him but he's so negative... I'm 13 by the way. I haven't told my mom yet. But him and I kisses at Disney land when visited California. And I don't know any other ways to cope with it...

  • You experimented with it, you weren't mindlessly driven to it like physically, sexually and psychologically abused kids that are trapped with their abuser and his accomplice (spouse).

Either way, it's not healthy. Now you know what it's like to imitate a despairing cutter, but what you've done is experiment in self-harm and then talked about it for some feedback, you do not have to go on with it, so please don't. It leaves such ugly white scars.

One kiss is not a relationship, it's not even a promise. He's being negative on purpose. Take the hint. Let him go. He doesn't deserve you.

  • It sounds like you have the potential for becoming one. You should realize that self-harm is a destructive way of releasing pent up stress. The pain releases endorphins which naturally calm you. You should try to find a more constructive way of dealing with your issues. Speaking to close friends, writing your thoughts in a journal, something along those lines. Long distance relationships are not easy.

  • that is someone-friendly (and customarily incorrect) stereotype that "emo" young infants cut back themselves. I in many cases think of of emo because of the fact the song kind because of the fact as a former cutter and being socially labeled as "emo," i think of that is kinda stupid. Why did it would grow to be a kind? My "emo" friends resent the label, particularly people that don't cut back because of the fact people assume they do. They placed on band shirts because of the fact song is their existence, skinny denims for the comparable reason anybody else does, and their hair is merely extra helpful. that would not advise something different than they have a distinctive flavor than people. Is that undesirable? incorrect? No. anybody is merely ignorant and prefer some form of label for each guy or woman else.

  • Well, you're obviously a cutter. :/

I'm not a pro or anything, but my best friend was like that for about a year and we got her out of the habit by letting her find other ways to deal with her problems. You could take it out on things that can't feel, or by listening to My Chemical Romance. Their music is all about overcoming things, and having the courage to carry on.

Keep reminding yourself that if you really trust him, and if he really loves you, then he won't cheat on you.

    Hope I could help~!

I am actually trying to START again, the girl i love is moveing to texas(she got me to stop cutting and made me promise not to start again) i cant bear to part with her and want to fo back to my old habbits of cutting but i cant break her promise....sorry needed to vent

dont make the mistake i made by getting addicted to cutting.

Once u start it is supper hard to stop.

Tell him how u feel...i know he wont leave u it u tell him this

  • it's alright to be emo but don't hurt yourself, you're harming your own body which is trying to make you function as best you can/ Think about how hard your body works for you. Your heart has been pumping blood to keep you alive 70 beats a minute from the minute you were born never ending

  • yes but only tell the cuts heal if you keep doing this then until the last cut heals your a cutter if you truly love him try to wait and voice your concern

  • Unfortunately, yes. Obviously it can't be easy. My friend used to cut and it got so addictive for him (yes, there are MALE cutters and he's NOT emo). Please go talk to someone like your parents, a close friend, a therapist). Just know that you're not alone.

  • yea pretty much. you cause physical pain to yourself to make yourself feel better so ur a cutter
