Why do mainstream environmentalists support Obama?
Given his environmental record so far, especially the appointment of environmental thug Ken Salazar as head of the Dept of the Interior, why is he not being attacked like Bush was? His policies are just as bad and he has taken back many years of progress in his short time in power.
Is it because mainstream environmental groups have been co-opted by the "all purpose left" and care
only about getting votes for new world order liberals?
Please, members of the "I love overpopulation" Sierra Club, tell us why you support Obama when it appears he is just as bad as Palin would have been.
Update:Some of your answers prove how the "all purpose left" supports Obama no matter what, especially by ignoring the pink elephant in the room named Salazar.

It makes no difference whether R or D, we have only one political party. Bill Clinton's mentor, Professor Carroll Quigley wrote that the two parties should be nearly identical so we could throw the rascals out every four years but major policies would not change.

Are you nuts? The only accurate part of that statement is that he appointed Ken Salazar as Secretary of the Interior.
"Appears he is just as bad as Palin would have been"? You have got to be kidding.
If you check his campaign rhetoric, you will note that now-President Obama spoke in favor of expanding offshore drilling then. That is hardly an environmental disaster. Indeed, the fishermen are going to love him. Offshore oil rigs are like miniature artificial reefs. You have to get to one very early in the morning if you want to find a place to fish off them.
A huge factor is probably that he is a democrat, like most environmentalists. I definitely understand what you mean, he really hasn't done much to help the environment. Him recently signing to build the nuclear power plant in Georgia may have been one reason for their support, but I guess you never really will know why unless you ask them personally.
hes the president hes has lots of power and money they would like to get their hands on
and btw palin would have been much worse
