D90 Video Audio Problem?

I just bought a Nikon D90. I tried out the video feature but there was no sound when I played it back on both the camera and the computer. All it does is click. It sounds like a running movie projector. Is this a setting or is the mic broken?

Update:

Oh and the mic isn't covered.
