Do coffee shops serve food?
in Dining Out
I know that cafes do. But I believe there is a difference between the two.
I've never been to one, therefore I don't know anything about them.
Also, if they do have food on the menu, is there enough to call it a meal?
Thanks.

I saw that our local Barnes and Noble Starbucks shop sells sandwiches and personal pizzas. Looked delicious, but I only had time to grab a coffee.
It depends on how one defines a coffee shop. A coffee shop that is like a diner serves complete meals. But if you're talking somewhere like a Starbucks, they would only have pastries and such.
I believe they serve stuff like cookies brownies etc but I wouldn't call the stuff they serve a meal
I might say breakfast finger meals(pastrys, muffins, and many others) Then for a lunchtime crowd, sandwiches, fruit, soups.Salads you then could go into a snack area, sandwiches might be of the healthfood type(pitas, wraps) but i consider the majority will have to be foods that might be eaten on the go.........
