97eclipse door problems?
Okay so I bought a 97 eclipse for 500 bucks. the previous owner. (a careless 16 blonde girl) punched the handle and broke it. I replaced the handle to where it works now. but the door wont close unless i lock it from the inside first, otherwise it just hits the latch and bounces. Then I cant unlock it from the outside. Just got done working on it. been extremely frustrated. Any ideas?

The striker plates can be move/adjusted so the door closes. A hinge may be sprung or the door is not hung right- maybe all the above.
