I just started to take birth control about a week and a half ago. I was supposed to start my period a bout 3 days ago but i haven't yet. I haven't missed a pill, so i'm just wondering, if it's the hormones from the pill that's making my period delayed.

If you just started your birth control, you may not get your period until the week of the "inactive" pills - if you're taking the 21-day active, the last 7 pills are inactive (no hormones in them). However, because you just started your birth control, you also may or may not get your period. The pill affects everyone differently and it can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months until your body gets fully used to the pill and you start having your periods regularly. Just continue taking them on time/not missing any.
Yes, birth control stops you from getting a true period since it stops you from ovulating. You aren't supposed to bleed (aside from perhaps spotting which is pretty common) until a few days after you start the inactive pills (the last week of your pack). You get it then due to the drop in hormones.
Ya that's normal. Your body has to get used to the hormones. When I first went on birth control I had my period for a whole month. It'll be ok in a month or so.
They help to regulate your periods. but your cycle dates will change now with the birth control cause it's basically in control now. and yea mostly likely it is the hormones
bc helps with your periods, you will have a period when you take the 4 white pills (sugar pills)
They don't usually mess it up...normally it helps it if it is irregular
