Blood type has nothing to do with getting bitten.
Mosquitos find you (and other animals) by sensing the carbon dioxide given off when you
breathe. They have sensory organs that can measure very tiny concentrations of CO2, and they simply fly towards the higher concentration until they find the source....you. Once they find
you, they search for the hottest place on your
body, which indicates that blood vessels are closer to the skin surface, such as the hands, wrists, arms, ankles, neck.
It has also been proven that mosquitos are attracted to dark colors, probably because a
darker color also means they are close to an animal (their eyesight isn't very good).
The combination of CO2 plus wearing darker clothing, and possibly being a bit warmer, is what makes some people get bitten more than others.
there are many different factors but blood type I don't think is one of them. It has to do with excess stuff on the surface of you skin. Just go to the link and it will tell you this in a much better understandable way.
Mosquitoes are attracted to body odor, however I have never heard that they like certain blood types.
Yes its certain mosquitos are mostly attracted by body odour and the odour is created by sweating. Sweating is a process related to blood.
I'm O+. They seem to like that just fine, but not with garlic.
Sounds like it would be an interesting thesis to test.
I have a hunch that your diet and other factors are more important than blood type.
No their after the CO2 that the skin gives off.
yea especially yours
