How to connect my Mac OS X to tv?

I have a mac OS X version 10.5.6 I have a HDTV and need to know how to hook up video and audio from my mac to my tv. I am currently in Japan so I can't just find an apple store around here. Any help would be great. Thank you.

    You have 2 solutions:

    1. Buy a DVI to HDMI cable. This is common. However, this will only send the video signal; you'll have to find a way to transfert the sound.

    2. Buy a USB adapter sur as the EyeTV 250 plus from Elgato. It will give you HD signal.
