Potatoes ask weird next day :(?

Dear Yahoo Food Specialists,

Whenever my mother makes any food with potatoes, the next day, it tastes metalicy and irony, to the point where it ruins the dish.

Are there any preservatives to prevent this? I know that the precooked foods containing potatoes I buy at the food store do not have this problem.

Thanks!

Update:

I meant "taste weird", not "ask weird".... -.-

  • I really don't know but if she is using a cast iron pan, perhaps that is the reason it tastes like metal. And no, there are no preservatives to prevent this. It has to be the pan or some spice she is using. Just ask her what she is using because of the metal taste, does anyone else taste the metal? Good Luck to you.

  • if she makes potatoes in the oven, she could try using a corning ware or glass baking dish.
