Chevy silverado 2500 vs ford f250 vs dodge ram 2500?

I have been wanting a heavy duty truck for a while now and finally able to get one but the problem is I have a very hard time diciding which I should get I'm stuck between a Chevy silverado 2500 the ford f250 or the dodge ram 2500 so if any one has any answers I would be very greatful.

  • Something to consider.. Newer diesels have a exhaust after treatment system. There are 2 versions. One requires the spray of diesel into tje muffler to clean it out while it is driving or sitting still. The other adds a chemical called DEF diesel emission fluid. And is merely diluted urea that is sprayed in to exhaust for nearly zero emissions. The down side.

    The engine will not run withou eitjer system in place and both are a pain in the rear. DEF is expensive around 24 bucks for 2 gallons and is NOT mixed with the fuel it does last.around 1k miles. The other "regeneration" system burns alot of diesel. Check out the ford eco boost trucks supposedly getting high nu,bers ..

  • It doens't matter as much as people will tell you. I will say if your getting a diesel, the Dodge Cummins got a few more MPG than the other diesels in CR testing.
