Do schools need a department comprable to HR?
When you are a student and have a problem with faculty, you're only option is to go to the dean. But the dean is friends with the faculty, and I know from experience doing so literally goes no where. But when you have a problem with someone at work and go to HR, the problem is usually dealt with swiftly.

i talked to the school counselor she said to report a teacher you would talk to hr
That would be nice and if they do implement something like that , then they should make it effective and take action when someone complains and not just let it brush over because everyone works in the same place. If you have multiple times something happens then you should find the school boards certain person that deals with that and email them or call and tell them whats going on. Everytime something happens complain about it so action will be taken.
