A problem with yahoo messenger??

i have a problem with yahoo messenger

when I am chatting with someone and I send them a message

the sent message doesn't appear

the white page is still showing without the message showing

I don't know it they are sent or they are sent and not showing

I pressed ''Conversation'' ---> ''References'' ----> ''Messages'' but I don't know what to do

any help??
