My parents have the ability to turn the internet on and off at whim, or at least my dad did - until he gave the ******* password to my control-freak, power-hungry stepmother. Now I am only limited to half an hour on the computer a day.
To some, this may not be a big deal, but before posting any negative comments, think of it from my point of view. Otherwise, **** off.
Moving on. I moved in with my dad and stepmom after my mom died when I was 12. I'm 14 at the moment. I understand that my dad hasn't been with me as much as a normal parent would, so his parenting skills might bit a bit shitty.
However, here are my conditions:
1) I have tutoring, Monday-Thursday, 2:30pm-7pm, and consequently, some homework to go with it, as well as self-studying in other subjects. (I'm Asian and in high school, what can you say?)
2) I have gotten straight A's in difficult classes as a freshman, not because my parents control my Internet, (I had it all the time, they just didn't know.)
I think it's quite apparent that if I put my mind to it, I can control myself and be as "efficient" as I want.
"Tell them that!" you might say. Naw, it doesn't work that way. My parents are Asian, remember that.

yes with a condition like wash the dishes or give me 3 straight A's starting tomorrow..like that.
