1/8 of a US cup of pellets per pig, every day is all that is required. Pellets make up the smallest percentage of a guinea pig's diet - hay and veggies are more important. I recommend feeding young guinea pigs Oxbow Cavy Performance, which has extra calcium in it and is built for piggies under a year old.
