How Do I Verify My Paypal Email?

I verified it on my phone, and I dont think I messed it up, but when I try to redeem points from an app onto PayPal, it says the account email isn't verified with PayPal. And yes they are the same. Anyone know how to fix this?

    I am not a paypal user, but my ex boyfriend has one. If i remember it well, he verified it through phone and email.
