How much you make depends a lot on the area you're working in (design, programming, art, production, testing, etc), years of experience, and location of the game studio. Quality Assurance (testers) are listed on page 5 of that survey. Average salary is about $37,000, but a first time tester will probably make about $24,000 per year.
First off, you have to know a thing or two about video games. Then you need to find a company that is looking for testers, and from the link you found... looks like you found some. I do agree that game designers do have a lot of fun, but it's also a lot of hard work... hard work deserves hard play. Good luck with that.
