Is grass fertilizer dangerous to dogs?
I know grass seed is not dangerous, but is fertilizer? On the bag, it states to use caution when applying around pets...so how do people fertilize their grass...most people do have pets. Thx

Yes, fertilizer is hazardous to pets. I have been gardening for a long time. I'll never forgive myself for the time I went to a friends home, to help him with his new home. His lawn needed repair, so I put fertilizer on the lawn, and did not block the area off until the stuff was well watered into the lawn. His old dog walked on it, got it in his paws, licked it off, and got miserably sick. Allmost died. I suggest you use a soluable fertilizer. That is one you hook into your watering hose, and spray on with water. Then, take the cannister off, and put a sprinkler on the lawn to further water the fertilzer into the lawn. This works well.
