Sims 3:No supported video graphics Card detected?

Hello ! :D

I just Installed Sims 3 in xp (Laptop-Toshiba) And whenever i click play I get" Unable to Start game. No supported video graphics Card detected.Please check your system Hardware" What do they mean? Please Help me know what to do to fix this~ Do i need to Update or install The video graphic card or somthing? I really do want to play it soon! - Thank you! ((btw My specs are : FOR WINDOWS XP

* 2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent

* 1 GB RAM

* A 128 MB Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0

* The latest version of DirectX 9.0c

* Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2

* At least 6.1 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB of

additional space for custom content and saved games ))

  • The problem I see is in part of the Specs you listed (as "A Video Card"). That sounds a bit generic. What you need is a video adapter with the proper drivers and support in which the game requires.

    Try updating the Video Driver and adjusting the preferred resolution. Verify the amount of Video RAM required as your card only has 128mb.

    For the reasons of the driver and/or settings, the app can not detect you have a compatible configuration for the game. If this is a laptop, there is nothing you can do if the driver doesn't fix it as video adapters can not be upgraded in laptops.
