Do you know override codes for Rover 214 immobiliser?

I have a rover 214 P reg and it failed to start last week. The AA came out and found the keyfob was faulty: they could not reprogramme it. I got a replacement unit and key fob with a matching serial number but still no joy. I think the only option now is to get the four-digit immobiliser code to use with the door key - I did not get it when I bought the car. Does anyone know codes that have worked on Rover 214s? I am getting desperate, the car has been out of action for over a week and I have tried so many ways to fix it. If I can't start it, it will have to go for scrap!

Thanks - if you do not live in the UK, you may not know that Rover went out of business completely, so we poor suckers have to hunt around for parts and info.

    call your manufacture and tell then the make and model and vin they should be able to tell you
