Anybody got info on David Archuleta's vocal paralysis?
I'm looking for info on David's vocal paralysis, and I can't find some key pieces, so maybe someone can help me.
I have searched all over the Internet and read several articles, but I cannot find any info about how he was diagnosed or what kind of treatment he received. I can only find interviews where he talks about finding out he had it during Star Search, but he continued to sing, and he won. I've also read it happened while he was going through puberty and he had trouble singing for more than a minute and a half, but he never lost his voice entirely. In interviews, he said he just decided he needed to start singing again, so he did.
Does anyone know of any articles or documentation (not opinions, but links to hard facts) that would answer these two questions:
1. Was he ever officially diagnosed by a doctor?
2. What kind of treatment did he receive?
We all know he's cute and wonderful, so there's no need to post that here. I'm looking for facts, please!

He never received any treatment, it just healed itself, miraculously.
Reports are out there now that say David's stage Dad from hell made the story up to work the sympathy angle at Star Search, and figured the trick would work for American Idol as well.

He connects with the objective audience. confident, Archuleta does ALL of that too, yet this is the element: there is not something Archuleta can try this prepare dinner can not do greater ideal. I enjoyed Brooke White a hell of so lots greater suitable than Archuleta, yet i'm able to admit that Archie is a greater ideal all-around singer. Likewise, i'm unable to blame everyone for liking Archuleta greater ideal than prepare dinner, regardless of his *cough* overwhelming inferiority *cough.* yet, interior the tip, the yank Idol crown could pass to the final performer with the all around 'entire equipment.' He started showing signs of broncidus (sp) when he was on Star Search. He went to the ear, nose, and throat doctor when it got really bad because he was having a hard time talking and singing. They said that one of his vocal cords wasn't moving, so he had vocal paralysis. They said he could have surgery, but that was really risky, and he didn't want to take that risk. So he basically prayed and hoped that it would cure on it's own, and it did! Thank goodness! If he didn't have vocal parlysis, he would have recorded an album after Star Search and he wouldn't be on American Idol. Because of the vocal paralysis, he has the sweet texture in his voice.
