paranormal help?

I have had my fair share of paranormal experiences..and there is alot of background to my story so if anyone would like to email me to hear the rest then let me know, i moved into my current house when i was pregnant with my son who is now 4 months old i also have a 3 year old daughter, i have felt safe in this house until a few weeks ago i started feeling like there was a presence around i recognize this feeling because of past experiences..anyway last night i woke up at 4am to what felt like someone playing with themselves (a male) and my son winging, i thought my partner must of been playing with himself so i just ignored it out of tiredness and it stopped so i lay there trying to muster up the strength to get up and feed my son and i felt it again but this time thew hand was against my bum in a wanking motion (lol sorry) i ignored it got up and fed my son who was WIDE awake and could hear something outside the window like rustling and footsteps and then out of nowhere clear as rain i heard children talking to each other in my hallway..i didnt hear what they said apart from the last bit which was "yeah your right" i thought my daughter was talking to herself at first but then i realised it wasnt her voice and that there were two voices and one was a boys.. i got scared and put my son back down and went back to bed asked my partner if he was playing with himself and he assured me he was asleep and that he wasn't..im creeped out.what should i do? should i talk to them?

  • The paranormal exists as an entity related to the spirits, but your argument does not exist, it has no foundation in truth, and with that I said it all!

Take care, and peaceful sleep! OK! -

  • I'm not seeing anything in your story that can't be attributed to imagination and/or hypnagogia. You woke up in the middle of the night, and our brains don't switch instantaneously from asleep to awake. During that transitional period the brain can let dreams to bleed over into the waking mind. That's why the majority of ghost sightings occur at night in the bedroom--because they are hallucinations related to sleep and dreams, and not to the paranormal.

<I have had my fair share of paranormal experiences> In other words, you are predisposed to choose paranormal explanations for things that have plausible normal causes.

<and fed my son who was WIDE awake> Why is it relevant whether he was awake or asleep, and why the emphasis on "wide"? There's utterly no evidence that either infants or animals can detect ghosts (even if they exist) that adults can't. Have you ever asked yourself how we could possibly know that?

All that said, what kind of help are you hoping to find? There is a wide variety of cures seen here. You can spread salt by your doors and windows (though why that would keep ghosts from coming through walls, I can't imagine), sprinkling holy water, having a priest or psychic bless the house, wear garlands of garlic, sleeping with Bibles/Korans or other scripture, praying to the god or gods of your choice, playing loud religious music 24/7, and the list goes on. Since you say you've had your "fair share" (whatever that is) of paranormal experiences, I'd think you would already be familiar with them. In my opinion, they are all equally effective, that is to say not effective at all, but the flip side of that coin would mean there is nothing to fear. It's possible, though, that the same placebo effect that makes some medical patients find benefit in sugar pills can also work on the imagination, so try one or all of the paranormal cures. I can't see how they could do much harm (though that's not always the case), and might do some good.

  • You THINK you've had your fair share of paranormal experiences. But given the fact that nothing paranormal has ever been substantiated to exist, and we know that humans are prone to superstition, and we know our brains don't function well when we wake in the middle of the night, your problem is more likely psychological than it is paranormal.
