how do you make three power point slides print vertical?

I am in school and my prof. puts all of his PowerPoint's online, but for some reason two of his presentations i can not get to print vertical. I really need the lines that the three slides per page provide. I have been trying to figure this out for forever. So please help me. Thank you!

(PS. I have windows home vista)

    go to file > print

    change the option for "print what" to handouts

    change the setting in handouts - slides per page to 3
