Seventh grade english vocabulary help?
please help me correct my mistakes on my vocabulary homework, because i know some are wrong. the words in parenthesis can be switched around; those are the vocabulary words.
1. it's obvious the spoiled young man has received quite a bit of (cosseting) because his mother pampers him & does everything for him.
2. jimmy hoped the pain reliever would (alleviate) his fever & chills.
3. madison was (incredulous) & simply would not believe her good luck when she discovered that she had won $1,000.00.
4. the (confrontation) between adam & james occured when james stole adam's twinkies.
5. because lexi was so (oblivious), she was constantly forgetting to look both ways before she crossed the road.
6. the lost puppy let our a sad & (plaintive) cry as it searched for its mother.
7. the flood victims were quite relieved when the flood waters began to (spate).
8. the students looked with fascination at the various (striations) in the fossil.
9. daniel knew that the meeting between his parents & teacher was (imminent) & that it was just a matter of time before they would know that he has two zeroes.
10. tim (perturbed) his friend matt into carrying his books for him to each of his classes.
11. collin & brandon were (mottled) with mud after their wrestling match outside.
12. megan thought that adam & gerardo were (reprehensible) for making fun of her friends behind their backs.
13. since billy never cleaned his room, mrs. miller thought her son was full of laziness & (dissipate).
14. mrs. deboard was extremely (ignominious) when not one student complimented her new pink hair color.
15. our new hall monitor, matthew, spoke to the other students quite (contemptuous) when he caught them running in the hallway.
16. it was obvious that something was wrong with the falcon's (pinions) because it was hopping rather than flying over the field.
17. the convict's crimes were so (goaded) & horrible that even his attorney was disgusted with the man's background.
18. sometimes the high school students like to tease or (taunt) the middle school students.
19. after all the (exertion) in his physical education class, brad's heart was pumping quickly & his cheeks were flushed.
20. amanda felt very free & (unhampered) after both casts were removed from her legs.
21. the poorly behaved student had no idea that his teacher was standing behind him as the (officiously) of curse words poured from his mouth.
22. the principal thought the students' behavior in the cafeteria was shameful & (sloth).

the correct spelling is 'eminent' rather than imminent
