Acoustic Amp or PA System?
Hey guys I've got a Maton EM325 and am currently playing it through my electric amp which is a Marshall MG100DFX combo but it sounds pretty average. I wanna buy either a new acoustic amp or a PA but not sure which one i should get. Most of the time ill just be playing it in my house so i don't really care how portable it is and i don't sing so it's pretty much just for my guitar and whatever effects i use. Ive looked at some amps like the AER domino's and the Acoustic Cube 3 but im not sure if im better off just getting a PA.
Whats the price difference between a good PA and Amp? Also could you guys list some good Brands for both PA's and Amps please
P.s My budget is $1000-2000 and i also might do some recording later on
Cheers

A PA isn't really the best option for an acoustic-electric for playing at home and recording. I'd look at something like the Fishman Loudbox Pro. Spend the rest of your budget on recording equipment if that's what you're interested in. Not really sure why you want to amplify the guitar for playing at home anyway to be honest.

If they are playing more than the very smallest venues then yes they would need some type of amplification for the guitar(s). If they plan to have other instruments (such as horns) and/or vocals then a PA would be necessary. How many channels on the PA would strictly depend on the number of sound sources not going through amplifiers.
