How do you do environmental impact assessment?

I am an environmental technology student in college. I have to do an environmental impact assessment on the iron ore mine in Schefferville, Quebec, Canada. I am using the environmental impact statement from http://www.env.gov.nl.ca/env/env_assessment/projec...

If anyone has done this before, their help would be greatly appreciated. It is worth a lot and I have to do well in this course. I'm desperate. Haha.

If this one hasn't been done, experience from something similar would also be greatly appreciated.

Update:

I need to give a description of the project and tell its location. Not really sure what to say because there are a few locations that have names (James and redmond). I don't know what to do. No exact location is given but license numbers are given and there is a lot of maps.

I have to describe the physical, biological, and human environments involved.

I also have to describe the valued environmental components (VEC's) and construct a matrix of impacts.

  • An environmental assessment tells you if a launch has or has not surpassed off in the section which you're assessing. it is going to contain the call of soil, groundwater or air samples for submittal for laboratory diagnosis. A possibility assessment is carried out ahead of something being geared up on an undeveloped supplies. case in point, if the government have been to advise to construct a 36" pipeline from Texas to Georgia, they might habit conceivable assessment to determine the environmental results of the installation of the pipeline. After the pipeline is geared up and there's a launch, the environmental assessment is carried out to determine the end result to the groundwater, soil, habitat, and air.
