Is 6 months enough to become a professional System Administrator?
Can I become professionally ready to be a System Administrator in 6 months?
I was expecting to do some PHP/Mysql but I was told that learning curve is like 2 years before I could apply. Now If I decide to do Windows or Linux Administration will it be around 1 year?I am changing career and I am 46 so I don't have 2 years. Thanks

Having a BS degree in network IT and having a MSCE cert will qualify you for admin positions. I have both and I am out of work. Good Luck!
I am taking a classes for ten months at New Horizons (they are global so one should be near you) for System Administrator. I am going for Microsoft Certifications, their program is excellent, and most provide alot of tuition assistance. I ended up with so much help I have not paid anything out of pocket. Some places say three months, but they are more of a "paper" MCSA and do not give you practical working knowledge.
