Three Day Fifth Grade Camp!?

In June the whole fifth grade is going to a camp for three days. It is soooo expensive! 92 freaking bucks! But don't worry, paying is not the problem. It is what you can't bring.

DO NOT BRING:

Walkie-talkies

Chewing gum

Electonic games

Money

Cellphones

I-pods

Ect.

Walkie-talkies-no comment

Chewing Gum- Why can't you bring it? Its not like its going to hurt you!

Electronic Games- My Dsi is an electronic game, but it is also my camera. It says you can bring a camera! What if it's raining? They say you can bring checkers if it rains -_-. Checkers aren't very portable. Dsi's are! And they are fun!

Money-You never know when you'll need it!

Cellphones- Big problem! What if you get lost? How are you supposed to get back? If you had a cellphone, you could call a friend, or someone else at camp. Or an emercency where there are no councelours! Like seriously!

Ipods-What to do on that LONG bus ride? Oh I'll listen to music! Oh wait, I couldn't, because the school forbids it!

What does the school have against anything fun?

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks!

Update:

Emily, as you can see, I am in the fifth grade. I do not have the best of spelling. I type really fast, but I don't look at the screen untill the end of what I'm writing.

Food at school is $2.00,so it would all add up to about $18. Transportation doesn't cost us much because it is only like 30 minutes away. The camp itself, however, I'm not aware of the price. Lat year, we went for one day, and it was only $20 bucks. I didn't ask a question to be mocked by losers, I asked it to get answers.

Hope you enjoyed my rant :)

  • Gum: they don't want it getting all over the place and people sticking it everywhere.

Money: it's camp. you don't need it.

Cellphones/iPod/Electronics: most likely it is because the point of camp is to get away from technology, and it's easy for them to get lost or stolen.

And 92 dollars for food and shelter for three days plus transportation is actually a good price.

    And, its etc., not ect.

And it is spelled counselors, not councelours.

  • Well everybody so far gave pretty good answers. I would just like to add; don't forget thermal long underwear. In case it gets cold. Also bring extra clothes because you never know when you might slip into a puddle or something. Because it's happened. Oh and sun block and bug repellent.

  • i am going to washington in may we have to pay 1,044 dollars. but we can bring all of those. i know i don't understand why they don't let us chew gum its not like its going to kill us! LOL and no one even uses walkie- talkies ha ha. YES! its so cruel they should allow you to bring cell phones andIpods and you should bring your dsi anyway just say its my camera.don't bring any games though.

  • You poor baby. maybe they want you to interact with the others that are there instead of having electronics stuck to you head.

  • yeah school sucks!! sneak your phone and ipod with you and don't get caught!! dsi is alittle harder to sneak around with lol good luck!!
