I hunt in fields and in thick brush and I need to know what is better because I am buying new gear.

  • Animals ain't gonna know the difference. Really. The camo industry is out of control with all of these new patterns. Just get whichever one is cheaper.

  • It depends on what your hunting, I prefer the mossy oak break up, because it just seems to work better for me. Deer might not see color, but turkey sure do, and the better the camo, the better chance you have at bagging one. So out of the two, I would go with mossy oak it just seems to work better with hunting in bushes and on the ground in fields and field edges, and any place with a slight shadow.

  • Your best is going to be the old stand by military woodland camo. Why because it has big odd shaped blotches of color. All this new camo with HD and all that crud is nothing more than a way to make you spend more money.

Deer don't see in HD they don't see in color they see in black and white. So a camo pattern that blends in to the surrounding when you see it, may stick out like a straight guy in a gay bar to a deer.

  • All the camo I own is military surplus or no-name discount stuff from the clearance rack or online.

I have better things to do with my money than impress the other hunters with fashionable designer camo. The deer don't seem to care much.
