Log(3x+1)=3. Can anyone show me how to solve this? Thanks a bunch.

  • you didn't mention the base of log so i will assume it is common log to base 10

    its a fact that :

    if logn(m) = a then n^a = m

    use this here

    log10(3x+1) = 3

    it means :

    3x+1 = 10^3

    3x +1= 1000 subtracting 1

    3x = 999 divide by 3

    x = 333

    hope that helps
