Equestrian Teams/clubs?

there are these too clubs IEA and Pony Club.

IEA is more of how it is like in college like where you pick a horse out of a hat and then u show that horse. and pony club teaches you how to ride in addition to learning about the horse.

My question is which one would be better for College?

i know that if you are a senior that you could get scholarships for certain schools in IEA.

and i know that you learn a lot about a horse in pony club and this may help you to pass out of certain classes in college.

which one is better for college? IEA or PONY CLUB?

Update:

plz include why it is the better choice.

  • Pony Club is a much better organization and can also help you get into college because there is a lot of responsibility, teamwork, and mentoring younger kids involved. I don't know how much it will help you make a college show team, but it will make you a better rider.

IEA is just a showing club, which is fine too, but I don't think it will help much with riding on college teams. It will help that you will gain experience riding a variety of horses. But most college teams have riders of all levels, from beginner walk/trot to advanced. I don't think it matters much if you've done a similar progam before.

If you can, I would recommend joining both, since they're so different. If you have to choose only one, then you need to ask yourself what you want to get out of it. Another consideration is discipline - IEA is hunters, and Pony Club is pretty much everything except hunters (show jumping, eventing, dressage, games, polocrosse, etc.)

  • IEA!!!!

It's so much fun! My barn went to Nationals last year. It's so fun to travel with barn friends :) It's true that Pony Club teaches you about the horse but they do more mounted games than real shows. IEA teams show in classes that would be similar to collage teams.
