But that was in June, during the summer season. Now in winter, an icy, bitter wind blew through the town, causing all to scamper away and seek warmth. Meter-deep masses of snow covered the ground, smothering all whom dared to tread through it. This season brought along with it more than just despair. It brought countless sicknesses, many that the doctors had no cure for.
